When James Lillo, a hugely dedicated fan dying of cancer reached out on reddit to try and see Eric Prydz before he passed, Eric’s team responded and was going to give James the private show of a lifetime. Sadly, James passed before the show could happen, but that didn’t stop Eric.
Eric Prydz played two shows back to back at Sound in Los Angeles two weeks ago and donated all of the proceeds to the charity of James’ choosing, the Cancer Research Institute which amounted to $60,000. But the love didn’t stop there, as Eric produced the track Pryda – Lillo in honor James’, with again all proceeds going to the Institute. It’s an emotional 8:30 minutes of Pryda’s signature progressive that sounds like hope and sadness colliding. If you purchase just one track from Eric this year, make it this one. You can also still donate and help the cause at www.cancerresearch.org/jameslillo.
