Dance music’s largest and spookiest Halloween festival, Escape Psycho Circus, is creeping up in just a couple of weeks! For two haunting nights, October 26-27 at NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, CA, headliners will be immersed in a terrifying world of music, performers, and thrills.
Insomniac has curated a killer lineup for this year’s edition, incorporating an array of genres across four monstrous platforms. The stages, Slaughterhouse, Ghouls’ Graveyard, Chopping Block, and Cannibals’ Tea Party will be hosted by Insomniac’s most illustrious brands including Bassrush Massive, Basscon, Audiotistic, and Factory 93. Only one of these brands will get a two day takeover and it happens to be our favorite stage, Cannibals’ Tea Party hosted by Factory 93.
For two fright-filled nights, Cannibals’ Tea Party will be serving up dark underground beats with some of today’s most renowned acts in house and techno. Day one will be hosted by Hot Creations label boss, Jamie Jones, as he presents his Ibiza famed event, Paradise. Jones will be accompanied by the talented Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice, Richy Ahmed, Shmitty and last, but certainly not least, our must-see artist on the bill, the Brazil-born, Barcelona-based, techno heroine, ANNA.
ANNA formed a special connection to music at the age of 14 after much time spent at her father’s popular nightclub in Brazil. Although she was exposed to the club scene early on in life, she didn’t really dive into the electronic music world until her move to San Paolo. Here she joined a local booking agency and began dabbling in music production. Since then, she’s been on this remarkable journey. She’s released on some of techno’s most well-respected labels including Tronic, Kraftek, Turbo Recordings, Drumcode, NovaMute, Clash Lion, and Hotflush.
The producer’s chart-topping records have garnered recognition from some of techno’s greats. ANNA’s Let Me Take You EP out on Turbo was acclaimed by Richie Hawtin and Damian Lazarus whilst simultaneously securing play time on BBC Radio 1. Her Kraftek original “Six Figures” was recognized by the almighty Carl Cox, while “Can’t Sleep” on Tronic charted on Beatport’s Techno Top 10. The techno goddess even went on to make her debut on Adam Beyer’s highly-acclaimed Drumcode A-Sides with “Portable Paradise.” Possibly one of her greatest charting records, “Hidden Beauties,” came out earlier this year on Kompakt’s esteemed Speicher series. The massive track was selected by Mixmag as one of the best tracks of the year and has become a staple on many of her peers’ set lists.
The techno goddess has spent the majority of 2018 spinning records worldwide with shows and music festivals all across Europe, Mexico, Canada, and the US. We had the opportunity to catch her performance at CRSSD Fest earlier this March (check it out here) and she’s finally making another US festival appearance with Insomniac’s ultra-eerie, Escape Psycho Circus. If you’ll be celebrating Halloween weekend at Escape (tickets available here,) then make sure to catch ANNA live at the Cannibals’ Tea Party because honestly what’s more Halloween than the dark underground techno vibes of Factory 93. Set times have yet to be released, but they’ll be out soon, so check back with us or download the Insomniac app.
We’ve handpicked some of our favorite, most frequently played ANNA tracks below. So, take a listen, add them to your playlist, and we hope to see you at Escape!
