A native of Brooklyn, Sam Eckstein has been making a name for himself lately with his far-out-there sounds much like his compadres on the Smokers Cough label. Hitting Farm Fest this past summer and playing all around his hometown NYC area, if you haven’t heard of Esseks yet you no doubt will soon. Also playing lead guitar in the band Technicolor Lenses as well as making his album art himself, Esseks is an artist in every sense of the word. Which leads me to his music video to “Divided Plunder” that dropped today..
In an unorthodox music video that looks straight out of an acid trip, Sam and his crew appear to be enjoying a casual Saturday together as they go off doing whatever it is that they do. From sit-ups in a cemetery to smoking what I can only believe is a hand rolled tobacco cigarette with Space Jesus, Sam compliments the track beautifully with this video.
