Excision Releases His Shambhala Mix 2012 and Makes Surprise Announcement

There’s Bassnectar, Excision and Skrillex then there’s everyone else in dubstep or bass music left trying to discover their own identities. Excision is truly in a league of his own as demonstrated by another flawless Shambhala mix. In a surprise that no one saw coming, Excision announced that he will be forming a live dubstep band Destroid featuring himself, Downlink and KJ Sawka. After seeing Modestep for this first time at Starscape this year, I’m surprised there aren’t more acts like this yet.

In other Shamhala news, the festival sold out its pre-sale tickets (40% of the total allotment) in only 22 minutes, which clearly speaks to the event and its connection with attendees. I will be definitely be attending Shambhala in 2013 and you should join me.
