Chris Innelli aka TIMarbury is a New York based Producer/ DJ that’s been stuck in the back of my mind for years. His remix of Maddz “Chocolate!,” is still the most intense dubstep track I’ve heard to date. So finally, I reached out to him to see what how we could work together.
Not only is TIMarbury premiering his new remix of East Clubbers’ “Happy” track with WRR, but he decide to include a exclusive free download. Much love, Chris, much love, but back to the track: Genre choice for “Happy” is a hybrid of two of Chris’s favorite genres, trap and trance:
“Listening to my old trance music, [I] wanted to change the old school [trance] vibe because I knew it would work and be cool”
The track’s featured elements are best described as contrasting: It mixes old trance with new trap, has dark and light that interchange, and a hard drop followed by a soft bridge. Chris speaks on how he ended up tweaking the differences and making it work:
“I sorta scanned the original track for parts that worked well under the trap beat…then I started to mash it up and put some slight changes on it to flow into it”
