The Birdhouse is Coming to London: DIRTYBIRD’s Claude VonStroke to Takeover Fabric with Catz N Dogz and Weiss

You read that right, it’s happening. London’s best venue Fabric will be hosting DIRTYBIRD’s Claude VonStroke, Catz N Dogz and Weiss on Saturday 22nd July and saying that we’re excited would be a major understatement. With the Birdhouse performance being blasted through Room 1’s ‘bodysonic’ dancefloor and 450 bass transducers attached to the floor, you can’t miss it.

Claude VonStroke, aka Barclay Crenshaw, label owner of DIRTYBIRD and MOTHERSHIP, has become a house and techno legend on both sides of the Atlantic and one of the few that those in the electronic know will be around for a long, long time. Fabric has played a big part in the success of Claude VonStroke, as in a recent interview with the club, he revealed that after the release of ‘Who’s Afraid of Detroit?’, he decided to book a ticket to Europe and asked a range of different clubs if he could play.

‘I actually slept on the floor of the office at fabric. Simon who worked there at the time was doing publishing and he asked me if I wanted to come and meet everyone at fabric. I told him I hadn’t slept in two days, so he said I could just sleep on the floor there for a little while, so I did. I took a nap there, and then I met the whole team. It was crazy. As with many DJs, my aim at the time was to bring out a fabric CD, but that took a little while,’ VonStroke said.

Joining Barclay will be Polish producers and Pets Recordings’ label owners Catz N Dogz who boast three LPs, including the studio album, Basic Colour Theory. Catz ‘N Dogz are known for their technical skill and engaging a live audience at prestigious festivals including SW4, Park Life, Bestival, Snowbombing, Electric Daisy Carnival, BPM, Movement Festival and Exit Festival.
