Fairplay Drops Progressive/Tech Tinged EP ‘Here & There’

Fairplay are now releasing a 3-track EP on Click Records titled Here & There. Bringing some friends along for the ride, Roth and Othertune. The EP encompasses 3 tunes “Lilac,” “Viridian,” and “Aureolin,” which have their own aspects that make them stand out individually, while also containing elements that bring them together and give the EP a common theme.

“Lilac,” kicks off with some delicious house energy, showcasing a bit of darkness in there as well. Synth work rolls out in an arpeggio-like flow while the experience of the track begins to reveal itself. Smooth, stretched, and not afraid to take it’s time, “Lilac,” warms up the listener for more to come.

“Viridian,” picks up the intensity, some of the more mystical elements of what he’s capable of coming out to play. Tight and ticking percussion incircle the softer pads and brass inclusions. Time seems to stop as the bars pass by and the beat moves forward, the hypnotic aspects of the track pronouncing themselves vividly.

Last is the collaboration with Roth and Othertune, “Aureolin,” showcasing a bit of world-music/jungle to it. The vibes get down-right epic as slamming wops of bass come slinging forward at just the right moments.

Fairplay hits the nail on the head with this one, Here & There sharing a large scope of house beauty through the prism of progressive and techno.
