“Famous” by Fareoh is a pulsating, celebratory house song with a message of letting go of prior engagements. While the music itself is celebratory, the lyrics are sad, reminiscing, and even regretful at some points. Liliana Wilde’s voice is the perfect softness to contrast the hard but rhythmic beat. When she says, “I liked you before you were famous,” it zaps with bitter-sweetness. Fareoh does a great job of balancing all elements of the song with Liliana’s voice – the technique of filling in empty spaces at just the right moments being a major highlight of the experience.
