In 1999, Ferry Corsten formed a trance act with fellow Dutchman Tiesto that we all know as Gouryella. While they released 6 tracks together over the span of 2 years, Tiesto left the partnership in order to concentrate on his solo work. 15 years later, Gouryella has been credited with inspiring and pioneering the path for widely known artists that include A&B, Markus Schulz, Paul Oakenfold, Cosmic Gate, and countless more.
And now ‘Gouryella – From the Heavens’ is set to give us the first exclusive look from that incredible journey. Ferry Corsten goes on to say about the official documentary:
Telling a story through music is one thing. Telling a story through photos, video and a narrative is another. I’m very excited that I’m able to bring this documentary onto the stage and take my fans with me on a journey behind the scenes and through the process that is Gouryella.
If you’ve never seen a Gouryella show, check out a sample from this year’s TRANSMISSION The Lost Oracle in Prague this past October, and you’ll get a feel for the magic.
In partnership with Ferry Corsten’s Gouryella, It’s a Fine Day and Symbiotic, the world premiere of ‘Gouryella – From The Heavens’ will take place at the Hawthorn’s Lido Cinema in Melbourne on Wednesday January 4th 2017, which is only fitting because Gouryella’s debut live world premier happened in Australia’s premiere trance festival Atlantis this past August. Tickets are available now and can be purchased here.
