Important Details for DC’s 1st Project GLOW Festival

With any new Insomniac hosted festival, Headliners have a lot of logistical questions, so as a DC resident for 22 years, let me help answer some of the big generic questions to help your planning underway for you and your crew for Project GLOW Festival, April 30 and May 1, 2022.

WHERE

RFK Festival Grounds, also known as the fields and parking lots surrounding RFK Stadium at the eastern-most edge of DC is where the festival will happen at 2400 East Capitol St NE, Washington, DC 20003. No maps or details have been given yet in regards to the number of stages, setup, parking, etc. However, RFK hosts a lot of events including Shamrock Fest, Rock N Roll Marathon, National Cannabis Festival, and more.

GETTING THERE

Driving: 2400 East Capitol St NE, Washington, DC 20003, there will be parking onsite, however, that information has not been released yet. There is no sleeping overnight in cars. One thing to keep in mind, is that DC traffic is the worst. It sucks. It’s horrible. So do yourself a favor and instead use the following method below.

Metro: Stadium-Armory Metro stop is right next to the venue and is the easiest way to get to and from the festival. The Orangle, Silver, and Blue lines all run to the stop. It’s cheap on average between $2-5 one way.

STAYING IN DC

DC has changed drastically over the past 20 years, and continues rapidly. With that being said, whether you decide to stay in Chinatown, Dupont Circle, Logan Circle, Adams Morgan, Georgetown, Takoma, Columbia Heights, Capital Hill, NOMA, Shaw, Wharf, you name it, each neighborhood has its own character, culture, and great options for food, drinks, and entertainment. WHEN

The event runs for two days on Saturday, April 30, 2022 & Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 1PM to 11PM daily. There will be no re-entry, so once you’re in, you’re there for the ride!

WHEN & WHEN ARE THE AFTERPARTIES

With Insomniac’s aquisition of Club Glow in 2020, they now own and run two of the most popular EDM venues in town: Echostage and Soundcheck. Project GLOW announced on March 1, 2022 that they will be having Projet GLOW Week with pre-festival shows and after parties. We don’t know who it will be yet, we have just been teased with the following poster asking for our best guesses. Insomniac, you guys are killing us! We’ll be sure to post an announcement as soon as they’re out!
