1. Gina Turner (Set Time: 12:00 – 1:00 PM)
To kick off your Electric Daisy Carnival day two adventure I highly suggest you see Gina Turner. Why? Because at EDC NY last year she played a killer tech house set during the same timeslot. I was privileged enough to witness it and I can’t think of a better way to open the the morning. Last year at the end of her set she came off stage an greeted all of the early go-ers, she’s the nicest women you’ll ever meet. Check out her set from last year below.
2. Sultan + Ned Shepard (Set Time: 1:00 – 2:00 PM)
Fresh off of the “Road To Ultra: Long Way From Home” bus tour with Fedde Le Grand and Ultra Music Festival itself, Sultan + Ned Shepard and ready to throw down a brilliant progressive electro infused set at EDC NY. They are the guys behind “Walls”, an amazing record with vocals from Quilla. But most recently they released their collabortaion with Fedde Le Grand titled “Long Way From Home”. These are two records that I think you can except to experience along with their remix of Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out Of Heaven” as well as their collaboration with Nervo & Omarion titled “ARMY”. If you’re skeptical sweep over their SoundCloud page, it should help you decide.
3. Manufactured Superstars (Set Time: 2:00 – 3:00 PM)
I’ve yet to catch the Manufactured Superstars live but from what I hear they are among the most energetic DJ’s around. Although they share part of their timeslot with Dutch superstar Quintino, who plays on the Kinetic Field stage, If you haven’t seen these guys check them out. I’m a fan of their music as well as their iHeartRadio show and podcast. I’m going to split the time, but who knows, I may have so much fun that I can’t leave.
4. Bassjackers (Set Time: 3:00 – 4:00 PM)
In 2011 Bassjackers’ dancefloor killer, “Mush Mush”, got picked up by Tiesto and was released on his Musical Freedom imprint. When I first heard it I instantly fell in love with their sound. The first time I saw Bassjackers was EDC NY last year and I have to say they put down my favorite set of the weekend. They are part of Afrojack’s JACKED family and their music gives off the “I just want to dance all day” vibe. I’m an avid listener of JackinDaBass radio and I highly recommend checking out episode four below. I hope it influences your decision.
5. Art Department (Set Time: 4:00 – 6:00 PM)
This was a really hard decision for me because there is so much talent playing the four o’clock timeslot. But aside from all the hard hitting dance tunes you’re going to hear, EDC NY has a nice selection of deeper artists. One of them being Art Department, whom I’ve selected to bring us to the peak of the afternoon. They’ll be providing a steady two hour set filled with soothing and relaxing sound. Jonny White & Kenny Glasgow have the ability to send your mind on an effortless journey via their track selection. If this type of dance music isn’t your favorite, I at-least hope you’ll give it a chance.
