As the year is quickly coming to a close, you’ve probably already marked countless festivals off of your 2017 calendar. However, festival season is not quite over yet and we hope you left some room in your schedule for what we believe will be one of the best music festivals this year, Groove Cruise LA.
The original floating music festival, Groove Cruise, has been sailing the high seas since 2004. Charting from Los Angeles and Miami, festival connoisseurs have been given the opportunity to explore many beautiful exotic locations including Cabo San Lucas, The Bahamas, and many more.
The forthcoming sail is set to port from Los Angeles, California to Ensenada, Mexico, October 6-9. Before you press pause on your fests for the year, we think GC LA is a must in order to conclude festival season properly and here are five reasons why:
1. Cruise Ship Luxury Meets Music Festival Vibes
Groove Cruise does not hold back when it comes to luxury accommodations. It includes all the amenities of a regular cruise ship, such as gourmet food, 24 hour room service, concierge, and spas, with the added bonus of your favorite artists becoming your shipmates. How often do you get to enjoy the luxuries of a cruise combined with the music and vibes of a music festival? Sounds like a win-win to us.
2. Themed Parties
The beauty of the fest/rave community is freely expressing yourself without judgement and Groove Cruise allows attendee’s to do just that with their over-the-top themed parties. Over the weekend, GC will host seven theme parties: Roaring Twenties, Identity, Pimps & Hoes, I Love Uniforms, EDM vs. Hip-Hop, Groove Cruise Derby, and A.B.C. (Anything But Clothes). GCFam is encouraged to get as creative as they like!
3. The Hosted Stages Are Incredible
There is nothing more we love than hosted stages from our favorite labels. Groove Cruise knocked it out of the park with their stage curation, enlisting Billy Kenny & Maximono’s This Ain’t Bristol, Anjunabeats, Space Yacht, Desert Hearts, Bassment Leak, and Incorrect. When was the last time you saw stage takeovers this amazing?
4. Music All Day Every Day
If you’re anything like us, then you need music in your life all day every day. Groove Cruise delivers 72 hours of continuous music (96 if you count the GC pre-party). From sun-soaked pool parties, late-night after hours, and even deep house yoga, you can expect to be grooving nonstop.
5. Your Favorite DJ/Producers Become GCFam
When else will you have the opportunity to be in such close quarters with some of the most prominent acts in electronic music (check out that stacked lineup below). Explore the ship, engage in on-board activities, and you’re bound to snap some Instagram worthy pictures with your favorite DJs.
