Update – July 29th, 2013: Diplo has changed his Twitter display name to: “Diplo-Rida,” an account that recently hit 1,000,000+ followers. Is Flo Rida avoiding confrontation/scandal, planning a response, or just hasn’t heard/seen the accusations?
Twitter drama erupted after Diplo saw Flo Rida’s “Can’t Believe It” music video. He claims that Flo Rida copied the idea from his “Butters Theme” video. Now Diplo is ready to fight.
Diplo’s tweet sums the situation up well. The invitation to fight Flo Rida is questionable, but there are some clear similarities in the choice of computer-generated effects and cinematography.

The basic concept Diplo seems to be claiming is “ripped off” is featuring sexy girls in a trippy, kaleidoscope design. It’s hard to verbally describe, but the flow of the “Can’t Believe It” video is pretty similar to “Butter’s Theme”. Whether it was a intentional copy or not, is still up in the air.

Flo Rida has not yet responded to Diplo tweets (does he actually use twitter himself?) but the feud is still on going and fans are getting involved.
