It all started when Floss got banned from their hometown of Chicago after pumping the streets with too much trap at the Mad Decent Block Party. The windy city natives retaliated in peaceful protest, instead cultivating the lovechild of trap and hip hop with this filthy, sell as many drugs as you can hood shit trap ensemble. It’s almost of as if trap is the electronic scene’s way of trying to save what rap has become, or perhaps create our own rendition of what we think it should be so we can again enjoy it.

Whatever it is, Flosstradamus has come to grips with it. The quintessential mixtape vocal clip additions are comical to me but admittedly do belong (and were a brilliant addition) on the mix. Most anticipated snippet is the ‘Underground Anthem‘, an unreleased track by Floss set to drop on Aug. 18. From that track through the Baauer ‘Rollup’ remix is my favorite part of the entire thing and make sure to keep a listen on the snare in the background, which dominates and controls the entire pace of the mix.
