Foar Moar is back for the third time showcasing hidden talents in the progressive house and techno genres and this time deadmau5 has brought out an EP to take us seamlessly from the summer festival season back into the dark warehouse nights that autumn and winter are best for.
The first track does just that, a track that takes the listener from the upbeat nature of summer music to a more colder and industrial sound. Frost’s ‘Relocate’ is atmospheric and can be placed on the more soothing side of the progressive house genre. A good choice for the first track of the EP as it highlights the elements of dance heard in the rest of the piece, but is not too intense.
HEYZ’s ‘Quietly’ is definitely not quiet and this track builds up into something strange and different. The echoing beats are good in parallel to the Frost track but the modern techno style transforms it into something reminiscent of traditional Prydz or other 90’s or early 00’s house.
Returning to a house sound with OCULA’s ‘Ingrained’, the artist takes on a digital oriental beat, a unique yet ethnic style that like many are doing at the moment with the mixing of synths and similar to what we’re seeing in the electronic music that is starting to chart nowadays.
To finish it off, Foar Moar Vol. 3 switches it back to dark and deep techno with ‘Cervos’ by Kayve. This track is true techno. Expect something like this to be played on a Saturday night in Room Two of London’s Fabric by the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, it’s definitely that good of a track. Check it out!
