As a way to thank his fans for reaching 100K followers on Twitter, Keiran Hebden, AKA Four Tet, released fifteen new tracks available for free download. All of the tracks were made between 1999-2012 and embody Four Tet’s signature downtempo jazz/electronica sound. In an enigmatic fashion true to form for Four Tet, the tracks have been released individually via Sendspace. Four Tet posted each link to his Twitter account seperately, but because we at White Raver Rafting love you, we have taken the liberty to collect all of them and post each download link for you.
Included in this new song pack is a bootleg of experimental pop singer Grimes’ ethereal single, “Skin”. According to Hebden, he did not intend to remix Grimes (who, by the way, was newly signed to Roc Nation), he simply wanted to sample her vocals. In any case, the result is a beautiful, soothing new take on the original. Overall, the entire mood of this unofficial EP is serene, and perfect for listening to when relaxing.
