Fox Stevenson’s “Comeback” speaks volume about how far the young UK solo producer has come. With every new release, his style contentiously matures and evolves, while the labels who pick up on him grow in size, reach, and reputation.
Fox’s recent collaboration with quickly rising 17-year-old Curbi “Hoohah” is a perfect example of this evolution. The tune’s bouncy-poppy feel combined with colorful, original melody cemented the tune for commercial success; Spinnin’ Records could foresee this, and wanted a piece of the action.
Earlier this month, Fox has dropped “Comeback,” his first solo original tune on Spinnin’ Records’ main imprint. Not only that, but it’s includes Stan singing atop his production, a true “sticking to your roots” statement (as Fox built a part of his following on this unique combination), while simultaneously achieving a new milestone. Now, his new music video expands the warm and energetic theme, showing Stan bustling around in a concrete jungle, trying to catch up with the fun and adventure that’s come his way.
Fox’s rate of growth and following over the last year or so has never plateaued or stagnated, I credit this to his impebable timing in releasing productions, particular selectivity in who he works with, and a genuine ability to connect and have fun with his fans.
Fox Stevenson is still so young, yet has experienced so much already – enabling a bright, adventurous future ahead of him.
