Last night the notorious British bass bringer brought his talents to NYC and completely destroyed the bassment. On the main floor we saw Arty who rained down trance for well over an hour. With a large portion of New Yorkers at Mysteryland USA this weekend, Webster Hall was comfortably not packed to the brim. Coming on at 1:30, Fox gave bassment attendees a taste of his “No Fox Given” EP while throwing in some dirty dub tracks from artists like Flux Pavilion. The smaller crowd proved to bring better vibes that could be felt all across the bassment. The occasional mosh pitting fused with hardcore head banging and dancing made Fox’s performance one you couldn’t resist.
Although Arty’s trance on the main floor nearly brought me to tears, I found myself seeking the grime for the majority of the night and spent most of it in the bassment. Delivering some classics like Sum 41’s “Fat Lip”, Fox’s beats undoubtedly had everyone in the bassment going harder than ever. After finishing up right around 3:00, Webster Hall was left in the wake of Fox’s killer performance that had everyone craving more.
