Freaky Deaky is just one week away and attendees across social media have been heavily tweeting, posting and asking about the best fits to bring to the biggest Halloween rave in Texas. With a lineup that has an incredible selection of genres and tastemakers like Armin Van Buuren, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Green Velvet and many others, we’ve been salivating at the chance to finally step foot into Freaky Deaky’s spooky wonderland. One artist that we are very excited to catch on Saturday is St. Louis based artist, Notaker.
David Nothaker is known to for his unique style in production, creating a complete experience that really transports you outside of the norm. Nothaker has taken in his inspirations from fellow artists Porter Robinson, Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, M83 and Hans Zimmer and let that fuel his creativity. Now going on five years strong of incredible releases, the rising artist has received support from huge electronic music legends like Tommie Sunshine, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery and Thomas Gold amongst many others.
With major EP projects like Erebus I and his most recent Mau5trap EP, PATH.FINDER, we can really see how much is put into the layering of his sounds and creating an overall depth that really envelops you. It didn’t take long for Nothaker to find footing in the world of EDM, within just a year of putting out releases the young producer was quickly picked up by Monstercat and he skyrocketed from there. With tracks like his single, “Infinite” and “Wake Up, You’re Dreaming” from his Genesis EP easily reaching millions of streams on Spotify and Soundcloud, it was clear that his well thought out style of production is something heavily sought after by fans.
We’ve been following his career and blasting his tracks on repeat for quite a while now and we can’t wait to see him live next weekend at Freaky Deaky. Check out some of our favorite tracks by him below and let yourselves float off for a day. Be sure to add him to your personal lineup for Sunday using the Woov app so you don’t miss a second! We hope to see you at The Shrine to become apart of Notaker’s universe. Tickets for Freaky Deaky are still available here.
