After releasing “Dig A Hole” on his FREDCRUMBS EP in February of this year, Freddy Todd presents us with a crazy VIP remix guaranteed to pull out the nastiest of bass faces.
Todd does not confine himself to a particular sound or EDM genre, which works heavily in his favor and gives him his originality. The wonderfully weird, glitchy, bassfunk DJ/producer from Detroit continues to melt our ears and brains with this remix. Glitchier than the original, “Dig A Hole VIP” is an edgier take on the already enticing tune, filled with choppy goodness and distorted bass over a more melodic undertone. The track wraps up with a combination of robot hiccups and laser noises that leaves us wanting so much more!
The release of this remix coincided with Todd’s appearance on the Season of Giving livestream series this past weekend; a 6 day charity event hosted by AfterShock Fam and Riverbeats in efforts to raise money for The National Alliance to End Homelessness and the Save Our Stages Relief Fund. (Two very important causes, and their GoFundMe is still up and running!).
In the past, Todd has hit the stages at festivals like Bonnaroo and Wakaan and participated in streamed events like Electric Hawk’s Harmony Festival. Most recently, he’s made an appearance on Nat Nat’s Stay Wise EP, paying homage to dear friend – and Nat Nat’s brother – Pipus.
