Blake “SuperVision” Hansen has been on quite the spree since releasing his “Telekinetic” EP back in June. Today we get an unofficial remix by him of Bonobo’s “Know You” off his last album, “The North Borders”. Personally I was a big fan of “The North Borders” as Bonobo made some thoughtful, deep downtempo tracks that combined intricate sampling and instrumentals for a beautiful album. SuperVision takes this and adds his own unique twist on it, adding his own style for what has been described as “future garage”.
SuperVision’s style has evolved much since his original “Telescopic” EP, with this remix being a perfect example. He has been influenced greatly by a lot of UK artists recently such as Disclosure and Rustie, which is clearly evident in this track; the smooth percussion, faded samples and ethereal synths all are very reminiscent of that rising UK electronic sound.
