The electro pop style of French Original is getting an expanded perspective thanks to his release “Stay.” The single blends together several tantalizing elements all at once. Tasty basslines, smooth percussion, and a moving vocal to top it all off begins to describe what French Original has going on with this one. It’s vulnerable and personal, the r&b, indie-pop direction in the topline helping the messaging of the lyrics settle in.
The single is a tease of his upcoming EP Souvenir, a project he’s been pouring his soul into and now the world finally gets a taste of what’s to come. If the EP is expected to be anything like this single, the greater electronic scene is set to be a better place post-release.
The EP is set for release on July 8th.
