In just two months, fans will be raging with all of their friends in Los Angeles at the inaugural All My Friends Music Festival. This first time festival is stacked with an incredible lineup, featuring favorites like Chris Lake, Armand Van Helden, and Barclay Crenshaw to hit the decks this August. Theres a good mix of genres on the lineup for both days of the festival so everyone will have music to get down to. One of the headliners we are very excited to see on the first day is the heavy hitting trap and grime producer, RL Grime.
Henry Steinway, who is better known as RL Grime, is a Los Angeles native who has been making massive waves in the trap realm since 2011. It all started when RL joined music label, WeDidIt Collective, which also includes popular artists Shlohmo and Ryan Hemsworth. In 2012, he debuted the Grapes EP, which was his very first EP release. Then only a year later in 2013, he released the High Beams EP with A-Trak’s record label, Fool’s Gold. During that year, he remixed Benny Benassi’s huge club anthem, Satisfaction, and toured around the world with Baauer. Then another year after, RL Grime released his full-length studio album Void, which featured tracks with Djemba Djemba, Boys Noize, and Big Sean. Earlier today, he released his 3rd single, Undo, which features Jeremih and Tory Lanez. He also announced that his 2nd full-length studio album, Nova, will be releasing on July 27th, which is plenty of time for you to listen before his set at All My Friends. He’ll for sure be playing a brand new set that we’ve never heard or seen before so get excited to hear new sounds.
