Music outlet turned bass label FUXWITHIT is taking yet another bold step in their story and leveling up to something they’ve never quite done before. Featuring new faces and familiar names, Champions Of The Underground Vol. 1 is an epic compilation featuring a slew of heavy songs all with their own distinctive elements and enriching themes.
Golden Child, Haan808, LoJ, dope, and sebjin return while KUREI, PRYZMS, Dropwizz, Lenny x SL!DE, Galazy x BAGG, Gurf, Borny, Hontis and Zodiaque make their debut, this album summing up the saying: “the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts.”
Here is what label founder had to share on the matter:
“‘This compilation was meticulously curated to showcase our favorite artists. We didn’t do open submissions, every artist and song was hand-selected. These producers represent the future of trap, bass music, and future beats. The project spans a wide array of sounds and styles while staying true to the core of what FUXWITHIT is known for. You’re sure to see some familiar faces and discover many new favorites. These are the Champions Of The Underground”
– Colin Vlasak, FUXWITHIT Founder
Some personal favorite for me were sebjin’s “Rights,” and Borny’s “Skywalker.”
“Rights,” packs in a punch with it’s epic mixdown and unique sample/instrumental choice. The single makes one feel as if they are on a cinematic journey into something deep dark and mysterious. The gritty wubs and surprising nature as each moment passes keeps you on your toes – tying a balance between therapeutic, but still bass-embracing.
“Skywalker,” hit’s the listener with the dichotomy of ‘trippy, yet poppy.’ The all instrumental single uses string instruments, trap-heavy percussion, plus alluring synths and vocal samples to work it’s magic. Although many of the singles on this compilation have this trait, this track was a particularly unique corner of the overall experience.
