In celebration of Gallant’s First Tour, Ta-Ku Remixes “Weight In Gold”

As everyone may know, this rising LA based artist Gallant knows never to stop. With his latest song, “Weight In Gold,” collecting over 1 million plays in little more than a month. Impressively handpicked as Zane Lowe’s first ‘Future Exclusive’ on his Beat 1 radio show. Showcasing his sensual vocals with a beautiful blues instrument, the track has gone on to pick up plyas at BBC Radio 1 and top Hype Machine, referred to by The FADER as inhabiting “a rarefied space somewhere between Leon Bridges’ sweet nostalgia and Miguel’s heavy, riff-soaked take on R&B” In big news, Gallant will be hitting the road this fall as direct support for indie legend Sufjan Stevens. In celebration of that, Gallant is revealing a trippy, experimental remix of ‘Weight In Gold’ by Australian producer Ta-Ku, who has placed his own distinctive slant on the track.

2015 has already seen the likes of Billboard and NME label Gallant the “breakthrough artist of 2015” and “the voice that will redefine R&B.” Amassing millions of plays while rocketing up the Spotify viral charts, the public’s reaction is vociferous in their support for the standout Los Angeles artist.
