Genre Pioneers Daft Punk Call It Quits

Another heavy blow to 2021, French duo Daft Punk have announced their separation today after 28 years and countless international hits. The news broke via an 8 minute video titled “Epilogue”. See below:

This comes as a shock to most fans, who were eager to see the duo on one last tour before this dreaded day. They will be remembered as legends of a genre that they helped shape, through the massive success of multiple songs including early hits “Around the World” and “Da Funk”, on their debut album Homework, then progressing to massive singles “One More Time” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”. Younger fans will be more familiar with their huge hit “Get Lucky”, the breakout single on their last album.

Though they will be sorely missed, they will certainly never be forgotten.
