Now out via Circus Records, Gl0bal continues to prove his dexterity and studio prowess with Insomnia 2. This new EP is a continuation of the Canadian producer’s precedent Insomnia release, while encompassing his refined signature sound.
The whole EP is a certified banger. How could it not be with an opening track titled “Watch Your Neck”? The introductory track highlights haunted ethereal soundscapes as the build up leads into a powerful, bass-riddled house drop.
“Believe” spotlights a sensual female vocalist who lays the foundation for the euphoric and full conclusions. Featuring another stellar vocalist, Gaby Borromeo, “Darkness” is an emotional tune that just evokes euphoria. “My Will” turns things towards a more hip hop direction as rhythmic and buoyant trap sonics levitate. In collaboration with Alex Cortes, “Tonight” closes out the EP with feel-good energy that reminds us that, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.
