Gl0bal Detonates A Heavy Bass Bomb On New Single, ‘Pain’

There are not many artists in today’s electronic music scene that can blend genres as seamlessly as Gl0bal. From the mind of British Columbia-based producer Mickhel Patterson, this project has amassed a dedicated following since Gl0bal’s debut EP, “Insomnia”, on Flux Pavilion’s Circus Records in 2019. His unique fusion of trap, dubstep, and bass resonated extremely well with EDM fans and has been the staple of his identity from then on.

Although Circus Records is a cherished label in the bass community, it is not the only imprint that recognized Gl0bal’s talent. He has also released a collection of tracks on Excision’s Subsidia, such as the iconic “IBS”, which was included in the Lost Lands 2021 Album. Along with more than 3 million streams on Spotify alone, Gl0bal has received support from Tiësto, DJ Sanke, Hardwell, Major Lazer, and other industry-leading artists. On top of these accomplishments, in 2022 Gl0bal was nominated for Western Canada’s Electronic Artist of the Year.

Building on his project’s momentum, Gl0bal has decided to kick off 2023 with the release of his brand new single, “Pain”. Speaking on the track, Gl0bal shares, “‘Pain’ is a hip-hop-inspired release about accepting pain and it’s meant to smack you in the face.” As the second single on Gl0bal’s highly anticipated debut album, Judgement Day, “Pain” addresses how people deal with pain and offers helpful advice to overcome it.

Opening with a daunting melody, “Pain” features invigorating vocals from Armanni Reign, a gifted MC known for his work with Zomboy, Excision, Riot Ten, and more. His voice is the perfect complement to the ground-shaking beats and explosive sequences of bass throughout “Pain”. As a whole, “Pain” continues to grow the excitement for Gl0bal’s upcoming LP by showcasing his creativity and expertise in production.
