Goldwash has graced our ears with a new EP deemed LDR. The EP features three songs that bring Goldwash’s own genre coined “existential funk” to life. Gabe Acheson (Goldwash) a 22 year old from Baltimore, tells the perfect story of heartbreak through his most recent EP. The three songs will transport you through the stages of the break- up and will leave you with sweet melancholy ache that inspired the young artist to compose this EP.
The first track Seperate has whizzing beats and a bass line that makes the listener feel like they are walking down a busy city street. The lyrics convey a deep ache of a lost relationship that is usually so hard to put into words. Acheson seems to embrace the emotion and translate it into an upbeat song that you will want to listen to over and over.
The second track Ok, I Lied compliments the first song and continues the story. The denial of the words coincide with a simple beat that highlights the young artists inevitable talent to give a simple sound a deep meaning.
The third and final track of the EP, LDR is the oh so deserving title track. LDR has a spaced out vibe that brings back memories of the love lost in the story. The anticipation between verses makes you linger on every word, and gives you a chance to fully accept that this young man has unmeasurable talent.
Goldwash who is an up and coming artist is definitely on our must watch list!
