The highly acclaimed UK duo Prok & Fitch are known for dropping hit after hit, building a monstrous repertoire of diverse tracks on the tech house scene. It made perfect sense when they got the go-ahead to remix a very iconic song, by a very big, very green, legend, Green Velvet. In celebration of the 16th anniversary of Green Velvet’s seminal hit “LA LA Land,” the duo reunited with the originator himself for their “Sweet Sixteen” remix. The track premiered as the lead in to Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show, and is effortlessly moving it’s way up in the charts.
The duo has toned down the bit of distorted bassline, and added in some kicks to get your shoulders rolling. Leaving in Velvet’s signature echo’d vocals, and thrown in some sound effects that will have you adjusting your television. The remix couldn’t have been done better, and Prok & Fitch were the perfect match to set it off for a more current update. To top it all off, the duo have released a 30 minute continuous mix brought to you by Magnetic Magazine to keep the party going after you’ve completely warn out their delicious remix.
