If you already had plans for Labor Day Weekend we’re going to need you to cross them off your calendar and write GRIZ AT RED ROCKS in big red sharpie over them. The most beautiful music venue in the U.S. (possibly the world) is continuing the awesome trend of booking some of the best names in electronic music this summer. First Odesza, then Tipper, then Bassnectar, and now…GRiZ.
As if you need more convincing we’ve put together a quick list of reasons you should do your very best to get to Morrison for this show.
1. The Venue
Anyone who has ever experienced Red Rocks knows the majesty of standing at the top and looking out over the valley. Its truly something to behold and imagining GRiZ’s soulful sax complimenting that scenery has us planning a road trip already.
2. GRiZ’s New Album
We’ve been teased with two singles “A Fine Way To Die” and “Stop Trippin” off the forthcoming album and we’ve worn out the play button on both. If these two singles are representative of the new stuff Grant has been cooking up then this album may be his best yet. Check em out below
3. GRiZ Fam
We can guarantee the fam is going to show up in force for this show. The combination of Grant’s current home state, the thriving electronic music scene in Colorado, and the location ensures that everyone is going to come out and go hard. GRiZ fans love the funk, love to get down, and they will not be missing this show. I can only imagine what the scene in the parking lot is going to be like. Show Love Spread Love.
4. The All Good Fam
Recently GRiZ founded the new label All Good Records and signed The Floozies, Manic Focus, and the Geek x VRV. Two of those names (The Floozies and Manic Focus) will be joining him for this show and we’re expecting them to come out hard for the Fam. All of them on stage together ripping it up will be something to see and if the above reasons still haven’t done it for you, then the visual of them all on stage at once should. We hope to see you there!
