The funk master from Detroit, Michigan has officially announced a release date for his newest album. Titled “Good Will Prevail”, the official release date is set to be September 23rd. Writing a heart felt post to Facebook, Griz touches on the past year and everything that has been going on in the world. The iconic title of the album is very likely a message to all his fans and the world that despite all the hate and sorrow in the world, good will indeed prevail.
In addition to his Facebook post, Griz released a track today on Soundcloud. Titled “Can’t Hold Me Down”, the bass heavy track is everything we’d expect from Griz and only builds anticipation for his album. Griz wrote the track himself and the vocals are provided by Tash Neal of The London Souls. Give Griz’s latest track a listen and then ask yourself if Good Will Prevail.
SO STOKED TO ANNOUNCE MY NEW ALBUM “GOOD WILL PREVAIL” DROPS SEPT 23rd!!!
This year has been particularly difficult. Too many times I’ve felt sick to my stomach watching the news or talking with my friends about what’s going on in the world. It seems like I can’t get a break from bad news. All this senseless violence, political unrest, cultural tension … got me feelin down..and often…helpless.
I ask myself often what I can do to help out. So, I wrote this album as a reminder to me and to you that there is SO MUCH GOOD in this world! I urge you, focus on our collective LOVE and RIGHTEOUSNESS. It’s up to us to keep that alive. Keep your head held high. I know things look real real bad right now, but no matter how dark it may seem or how discouraged you may feel, never ever give up!
don’t curse the darkness, be a light,
Good Will Prevail!<3 G
