Today Grant Kwiecinski, better known as Griz, released the music video for his future funk hit “Smash the Funk” off his debut album ‘Mad Liberation’. The video is really interesting to watch, going inside the life of Griz. He talks about his music, his production, and there’s lots of clips of him playing shows at venues in Boulder and Denver, meeting Derek Vincent Smith (Pretty Lights), while also showing clips of his set from Rowdytown at Red Rocks with Big Gigantic. It gives you a glimpse into what its been like for the man over the past year, how he got into music, and even has some cool slow-mo shots of Griz shooting his old DJ equipment. Right on.
Griz has come an incredibly long way since ‘Mad Liberation’ last year. Before that album he was virtually unknown; now he begins his first national-headlining tour this fall and has his second album following suit. We at WRR have to thank Griz for all his hard work, and for being innovative and fresh in this hectic music scene. Watch the video below and enjoy!
