New York City-based Daniel Griffith, better known as Gryffin, will be making his live musical debut at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on Wednesday January 20th. Gryffin has been making quite the name for himself with a slew of remixes for artists such as Tove Lo, Whitney Houston & Maroon 5. And now the classical trained musician and producer is putting together a live show that is sure to be a performance unlike any other.
Gryffin’s style can be classified as a mix of deep and tropical sounds using natural instruments and a combination of beautiful sounding synths. He has been creating remixes of songs that some people are describing as better than the original.
During his live show Gryffin plans to showcase his music in a multi-instrumental platform and giving the audience something different than your average DJ. We can expect to hear many of the remixes we know as well as a lot of new material to come this year from Gryffin.
The Live Performance is giving electronic dance music a whole new level creativity. Artists can show the critics that there is more the “EDM” than pushing buttons. Electronic music is the future and with artists like Gryffin, we are seeing that the future is bright.
Accompanying Gryffin at his debut show will be ATTLAS who came into the fold last year as a mysterious producer discovered by Deadmau5. Also newcomer Electric Mantis will be bringing is funky dub sound to compliment the evening.
