After the immense success of his last EP West on Mars, Guy J returns to his Lost & Found Imprint, a record label focused on the sounds of journeymen, with his latest EP Aurora/Airborne. Returning to the trance roots that first inspired him, Guy J has created two emotional masterpieces that will take your imagination to new heights.
The EP begins with “Aurora”, a mellow track that builds on itself beautifully to create a dramatic ride of emotion. The track delivers deep and driving waves of synth, and with use of rhythmic percussions and melodic melodies keeps on building allowing the track to reach an epic culmination.
“Airborne” glides you into a state of ecstasy. Powerful anticipation is built from the simple percussion introduction and keeps you in this state as the riff doesn’t even begin until about the 4:30 mark. But it is well worth the wait as the soothing synth melodies give you a freeing sensation as you groove along to the playful pops and whistles that accompany the powerful melody. The track conveys a timeless presence and truly represents the success of emotional techno.
