August has been a busy month for French born electro-house artist, Habstrakt. The master of electro announced just a couple of weeks ago a massive tour that will touch down in 4 countries and over 20 different cities. This tour is in support of his highly anticipated single, “The One” which has just been released on all streaming platforms. The release caters to his well known electro sound, however this genre-blending track delivers distorted vocals that lead to an explosive drop packed to the brim with mechanical synths. If you have a case of the Monday blues then your high-energy remedy awaits within Habstrakt’s latest track. Here’s what Habstrakt had to say about the release.
“I’ve been holding onto this one for a while, worked and reworked it a thousand times, and I’m so excited to finally release it. The moment I heard these vocals from Pauline Herr, I knew something huge was going to happen!” – Habstrakt
To accompany the release comes an official music video directed by Habstrakt and James Winterhalter. The video is Habstrakt’s first crack at directing and let’s just say we’re nothing short of impressed. The nearly two minute music video is a high-energy journey through epic dance moves, fast moving cars, and a landscape that reminds us of Mad Max. Check out the full music video below.
Another treat that follows the release of “The One” is an official remix provided by Unlovable. The slower, more melodic remix by Unlovable caters to a different setting that we don’t feel in the original. It showcases a more relaxed environment that allows you to press play whenever.
