It’s no secret who is going to be at Hangout Music Festival this year, HMF was already unleashed handfuls of huge names ranging from Skrillex to Sam Smith and everything in between.
Even though Hangout broadly focuses on forming an eclectic line up of hot artists from all genres, they still pulled together a well-balanced list of DJ’s from a variety of EDM sub-genres. Here’s our top 5 DJ’s we’re pumped to see at Hangout Music Festival 2015.
Skrillex

The juggernaut is paying another visit to Gulf Shores. The dynamic DJ permanently engrained his name in American culture during the ’09-’11 dubstep explosion and still maintains a level of music superiority not quite matched by anyone else. From Bangarang EP, to his latest LP Recess, Skrillex remains a long-standing titan in the world of EDM, making him one key artist you don’t want to miss at HMF.
GriZ

The classic glitch-hop and saxophone combination never fails. GRiZ is not only a significant icon in the glitch-hop/bass music universe but is sure to pull in a ample amount of super-nice bassheads (along with Gramatik) to the HMF crowd mixture. His new album Say It Loud is a superb milestone for the multi-talented artist as well and will surely be played out at HMF 2015, check it out below.
Major Lazer

The trio are dropping a new album in June, practically guaranteeing they’ll be teasing originals off the album at their set. Seriously, what better place to hear reggae / moombahton/ pop themed jams from dippy and the crew than on the beach?
Gramatik

Featured on labels such as Pretty Lights Music and of course his own label Lowtemp, Gramatik will be serving his sweet glitch-hop sound under the steamy sun. The solo DJ’s sound gets down-right dirty without getting super loud, grinding, or fast pace, making it a relaxing experience while still delivering a mind-blowing feeling.
Krewella

The trio now duo, famous for their huge hit album Get Wet as well as singles like “Alive” and “Killin’ It” will be raging with thousands of attendees anxious to see what they can deliver. Their past sets have been over the top with insane energy. Hangout Fest will be another right of passage, to fans, for the duo, since their group change.
Hangout Fest is still announcing more artists and additions to the 2015 festival experience . Hangout Festival was my very first festival and continue to get more insanely fun with each passing year. This is one show you don’t want to miss!
