After toying with us for the past few days, HARD Presents today dropped the lineup for HARD Summer this July 30th+31st, along with some changes.
First off, the lineup. Seeing Ice Cube headline on Saturday, July 30th, I’m sure everyone is thinking “Will NWA show up?” Well, I think it’s safe to say with the location, and the preview HARD Summer & HARD Day of the Dead surprises, we can expect some surprises. Along with that, we’re graced with some favorites of DESTRUCTO’s (owner of HARD) that we’re always happy to see such as Dillon Francis, Tchami, Boys Noize, Kill the Noise, and more.
But along with the lineup, one of the most exciting changes is the relocation from the Fairplex to the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. With some sound bleed problems in the past, it’s an exciting change for the better which on the Facebook post for the lineup announcement also highlight “18+, Camping, 500+ Acres, Easy In/Outs, Better Sound Quality” so you can be sure that they want to reassure fans that big changes, and for the better will be the focus of this year. With the huge success of EDC Las Vegas taking place in the Las Vegas Speedway every year, it makes sense that other festivals will start to take advantage of the huge spaces that speedways offer. And although the speedway is a bit further from the Fairplex in Pomona from previous years, the addition of camping can help hold back fears of dealing with traffic for both days.
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 29th at 9am PST/Noon EST here.
