Originally from Pittsburgh, Pete Domville aka Headphone Activist brings a unique sound to the EDM scene. This producer is giving fans something unique with every release. With a fusion of hip-hop, lo-fi, ambient, and “meditative trap music”, Pete is creating quite the vibe for listeners. He started creating his magic out of his bedroom and has now made his way to Salt Lake City and all over the globe. It’s no surprise he’d make his way onto Liquid Stranger’s downtempo label, SSKWAN with his forthcoming Audio Oasis LP.
Since March 31, HPA has been releasing one single every Wednesday to preview what fans can expect from the 10-track record. We took a listen and fell in love immediately. Each song on the album really forces you to “A L T E R Your M O O D”. Something you’d expect from any SSKWAN release or that downtempo radio station you always have playing in the background.
For to drop off the EP, Moldavite guides you through life like you’ve been hiking the tallest mountain of opportunity with your best friend and you’ve finally made it to the top. That moment everything just feels right, and you have that huge sigh of relief.
Look out for Florence releasing May 28th! This one really makes you feel like there is still hope on a bad day, as it accelerates and builds you really start to feel the negative energy being lifted. A great way to stimulate dopamine release in the brain.
Without a doubt, Audio Oasis will provide at least a few songs you won’t stop listening to for a while.
