“Heart Stops (Tom Colontonio Remix),” is a single that has rarity built into it’s essence. The single is originally by Nio – the brother of Tom Colontonio – making this remix bare a sibling attribute that isn’t commonly found in music culture. Tom Colontonio does not hold back on “Heart Stops,” the flip that older brother Tom bestows upon the original is one of pure trance glory. The remix shines with glimmering trance synths, fast paced melodies, and a styled unique flow that would give it easy inclusion into a DJ set, whenever the moment calls for it. Edgy and heartful, Tom Colontonio gives Nio’s “Heart Stops,” a twist in all the right ways.
All of his life, Tom Colontonio has been taking in a wide arrange of popular music genres. Beginning around his early teens, he has been drawn in by the unique culture that electronic music innately has. His ongoing love for music and his infectious ambition eventually led him to getting his own set of turn tables in ’96. Ingraining practice sessions into his life routines, it wasn’t long until bookings came his way via the underground rave scene in Philly. He climbed the ranks and soon found himself playing alongside names like Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Marco V, John O’Callaghan, Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Cosmic Gate, Mark Norman, Infected Mushroom as well as touring globally, touching down at over 20+ countries.
To date, he’s had his music signed to labels such as Monster Tunes, Black Hole Recordings, Universal Music, Sony Music, and others, Tom Colontonio always looking for that next step to take the journey to a new level.
“Heart Stops (Tom Colontonio Remix),” is a proper next iteration of what has been a 20+ year journey in electronic music.
