When Justin Martin and Eats Everything get together they always make magic. Their last track “The Gettup” was popular with underground fans, and showcased just how genius they are when they collaborate. A few weeks ago, Dirtybird Records posted previews of two songs on Soundcloud that Martin and Eats Everything were working on. Soon, we realized the tracks would be part of a two song EP – Hello Mr. Jello.
“Steven Jello” kicks off the EP with a whimsical space journey feeling. They lay down a deep bassline and layer it with an incredibly hypnotizing synth line. “You make me feel real good” on repeat makes this track unbelievably haunting and timeless. The following track “Kong” keeps the same space theme but gets a lot dirtier. With the effects of what sounds like a race car or an airplane and some funky percussion sounds, “Kong” completes the strange but amazing vibe of this EP.
Finally, it was released on Beatport today, March 31st, in full. Each track comes out to be about 7 minutes, making it well worth $4.98. If you’re waiting for it to be released in full on Soundcloud or Youtube, you can enjoy these previews in the meantime.
