Who doesn’t love Krewella’s Jahan and Yasmine? And what makes them even hotter is the clothes they wear. While StealHerStyle.net did an article on the exact clothing items Yasmine wore, I decided to put together my top 6 picks for a style similar to Krewella. I decided to pick only 6 items because if I did 20, I think this would turn into an entire novel.
For this post, I focused on the two main articles of clothing that both Yousaf sister wear at concerts and outings: tanks and leggings. And you can’t argue that these girls love black. There is a good reason why tanks are perfect for Krewella: head-banging. It’s a head-knocking, heart-throbbing kind of activity that really gets your heart rate going. Plus you need your beautiful locks to not get tangled or else you end up with an accidental bald spot.
Here are my top 6 picks for Krewella style tanks and leggings.
Tanks
Top left to right: UNIF, Dimepiece, Agaci
Bottom left to right: Forever21, Love Made, LA: Hearts
When you look at what Krewella wears, you see graphic tanks, skeletons, sexual references, badass-y vibes, pretty much anything that makes the wearer of the clothing item more awesome, if that makes any sense to you. I chose the “Witch don’t kill my vibe” in celebration of October. It makes the saying less profane and more in spirit with the Halloween vibe. For the second piece, Yasmine does in fact own a pair leggings that has the exact pattern like the top middle crop top but nothing screams Krewella more than the crop top version of that. The third piece is self-explanatory (those tanks are the best ones). I love the fourth piece. It has that sexual reference but it also references a well known candy which in turn references to another sexual reference….so many references. When it comes to Krewella, you cannot not have one piece of clothing with some kind of skeleton on it. This cute Love Made tank not only satisfies that but also makes a heart sign with its bony fingers. PLUR anyone? And my last pick is something a bit more out there compared to the other tanks. This is a tank jersey with a modified explicit sign cleverly across a selected spot on the shirt. With its mesh-like material, this tank gives out a more laidback, hip hop look to it. If you aren’t comfortable with showing your undergarments, I suggest layering another tank underneath it or just not wearing it at all.
Time for the leggings!
Leggings
Top left to right: NastyGal – X-rated, NastyGal – Star Gazer, NastyGal – Shadow Lines
Bottom left to right: Urban Outfitters, ROMWE Leather Lace, ROMWE – Rivet Knee
Nothing is more comfortable than a pair of leggings. And yes, they can definitely double as pants as well! Want to show your X-rated side? Or maybe you want more of a leather feel but not too much? The Star Gazer leggings have faux leather panels so that these leggings are still airy and stretchy. Or maybe you like the peek-a-boo cut outs where you tease a bit? The Shadow Lines leggings are perfect especially for the gal who isn’t exactly comfortable with showing some skin. I’m obsessed with leather panels so these on the bottom left are perfect for both going out to a concert and going out during the day with your girlfriends. Or maybe you are the girly type and you love lace? How about a sexy mixture of lace and leather? And the last one is just perfect for Krewella. Sheer cut outs in the perfect places with spikes around your knee joint as well!
Don’t be afraid to go for it! I normally don’t wear black but I definitely had fun dressing up for Krewella when they came to Houston Texas!
Remember, these are just my personal top 6 pick for those who want to dress similar to Krewella’s style. If you like these posts, comment below on what other fashion trends I should post up!
