Straight out of England, Hudson Mohawke just released a grimy tune “Chimes”. The esteemed producer hasn’t released a lot of music recently, most likely because one of his many side projects is taking up a good chunk of his time. He is signed to Kanye’s GOOD Music label and in 2013 collaborated on two of my favorite songs off the Yeezus album “Blood On The Leaves” and “I Am A God”.
“Chimes” is another trap banger, no surprise given his hip-hop production roots. He utilizes huge 808, snares, drums, horns, and a thug “WHO” vocal sample on the track that is sure to get your blood flowing. The track ebbs and flows from a sweet synth line before throwing that “WHO” at you and launching you into sea heavy horns. I’m sure this track will be making appearances in trap sets for the remainder of the summer. Check it out below
