We’ve watched k?d rise out of the shadows in the past few months. Most recently with his original track “Discover” with RKCB, and before that other standout remixes like Daft Punk’s “Doing It Right” and Steve James “Renaissance” just to name a few of the quality tracks that he’s released.
Today, he’s gone in a much darker direction, by remixing the indie/alternative track “4AM” from Huntar and going dark and heavy. Elevating the background chorus, building the bass line deeper and deeper until it drops into a techno-infused repetition that is frighteningly fitting and amazing. Gesaffelstein-esque, and we can’t get enough.
Whoever k?d really is, he’s got the variety and skills to entertain a lot of tastes, and to make it in this crazy non-stop electronic music world.
