hypernaut’s journey through 2023 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride, but in the best possible way. This guy, relatively new under the hypernaut banner, has been turning heads and ears in the electronic music scene. It’s not every day you see a fresh talent scoop up the spotlight in Insomniac’s ‘Discovery Project’ competition. For those unfamiliar, the competition is a gateway for artists to show off their best songs, with the prize being a chance to play at EDC Orlando and rub shoulders with big names like Dillon Francis. For EDC Orlando’s 2023 Discovery Project competition: hypernaut won.
Celebrating this moment of recognition, the DJ/producer dropped “Just Want You” on November 17th. It’s fits right into his drum and bass love affair, bringing out luscious, moment-capturing melodies and head-spinning percussion. He’s not a newbie to the music game, having been in the mix for about 10 years, but it’s under this new hypernaut identity that he’s really starting to shine.
On top of this, the guy’s been lighting up regionally, extending out from his home base, Orlando, with his gig at EDC Orlando topping the list of cool things he’s done this year.
In essence, hypernaut’s 2023 has been like a drop in a great bass song – unexpected, exciting, and leaving us wanting more. As we wait for his next move, “Just Want You,” will have to hold us over.
