Time Warp is set to make its return to New York City after it last touched down in the Big Apple back in 2015. Its resurgence comes on the 25th anniversary of the iconic German festival in conjunction with its host Teksupport’s 5th anniversary. And all we have to say is, what a hell of a way to celebrate!
The all-in techno festival will take place at the New York Expo Center in the Bronx on November 22 and 23, 2019. This will mark Time Warp’s third ever US event.
The last time Time Warp stormed through New York City, it brought along an incredibly rare performance from legend Ricardo Villalobos, who hasn’t played in America since then. We were also treated to sets by Luciano, Sven Vath, Len Faki, Chris Liebing, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati and many more.
While a lineup is yet to be revealed, there are three clues that lead us to believe that the list of forthcoming players is going to be immaculate. First off, Time Warp brought out an all star cast to their 25th anniversary festival in Mannheim, Germany earlier this month including Nina Kravitz, Carl Cox, Ben Klock, Amelie Lens, Monika Kruse, Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Charlotte de Witte and more. Secondly, Ricardo Villalobos is due to make an American comeback. And thirdly, event host Teksupport has been murdering the game lately, delivering some of the most unforgettable moments in recent New York underground history including a rare performance by PRYDA this year, Adam Beyer B2B Cirez D this past fall, and Carl Cox last summer, among many others.
