The Identity Festival tour is premium production and premiere talent at a price that won’t leave you broke. It’s an experience that you can’t miss out on and they will make their fifth stop at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia on July 27. The all ages show starts at 2PM and goes until 11PM. There will be an exclusive after party from 11PM to 1PM available to VIP ticket holders only (buy now).
As expected the talent is stellar, crossing different genres from house, electro, trance and dubstep. However, there are three names who’s performances will be incredible and you missing it, unforgivable. I’ll rank them in order of importance.
1.) Eric Prydz
Eric Prydz (prids) is unknown to many casual edm fans or newcomers to the genre. For some background, he’s a Swedish House Mafia defector with an intense fear of flying which has prevented him from playing shows in the States. Prydz also produces under the monikers of Pryda, Cirez D, Sheridan and a few others.
Prydz just released his first album, Pryda which has received stellar reviews from all major media outlets. The three disc set features unreleased Pryda tracks as well as many of the classics like 2Night. It’s beautiful house music untouched by pop influences or the desire to “please.”
For some, you may never get the chance to see Prydz again. Do not miss him as he headlines the mainstage.
2.) Madeon
Madeon is the prodigal descendant of Daft Punk (not really). His electro heavy set at Ultra was brilliant with track selection that include Zedd’s Breakn’ A Sweat remix and his own of Raise Your Weapon. Madeon’s music is uplifting in a way that is unlike what anyone else is producing right now.
He’s probably most notorious for this youtube video, but you can expect similar live mixing in his set.
3.) Arty
Arty represents the new wave of trance and progressive house producers, and has profound ability to transcend the genre and live mix in his sets. Arty is a more talented Avicii, without the ego or flannel shirt.
When we asked Robbie Rivera who his favorite upcoming producer was he said,
“I like Arty He always adds something that stands out, and it doesn’t sound too Swedish, because I’m a bit tired of that. Some of his tracks have been a bit trancier and a bit melodic and I like that.”
