Ilan Bluestone has become a household name in the Anjunabeats family as well as for any well-rounded trance addict. Since his 2012 releases “Namaste” and “On Our Own” on the world renowned label, he has earned his place amongst the tastemakers of the genre and continues to get support from the likes of Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, Axwell and Seven Lions. Just last year, fans were satiated with his massive 15 track album, Scars, with three standout’s “Will We Remain?”, “Let Me Know”, and “I Believe” garnering millions of streams from around the world. Ilan hasn’t held back within the first two months of the new year, with throwing love to fellow trance guru, Cosmic Gate, with his powerhouse remix of “Be Your Sound”. Now he has us in his grips once again because come this Spring, Ilan will be back with his six brand new tracks for his new EP We Are the Universe.
Fans cannot get enough of his consistently incredible production style that shines throughout his discography and their always waiting to pounce on the next release. Ilan continues to deliver with his new single off the the upcoming EP with “Mama Africa”. Teaming up once again with Elizabeth Osei, aka EL Waves, they bring a different perspective of the continent. Osei had this to say about the inspiration behind the track,
“This is a song of love and blessing for my Mother, Father and Loved ones. In Akan culture we recognise the sacrifices that each individual makes to raising children of the next generation, passing down the wisdom’s from the old into the new, so sending out blessings is something we do to show love and appreciation and to say thank you.”
Bluestone starts us off with a punching bass that slowly blends itself into the rhythmic chanting. With synth scales intertwining with each element, Bluestone brings us up to an ultimate high as Osei comes in with her endearing vocals. Ilan holds true to his love for his passion of energizing dance music while tastefully blending the world of trance and what Africa means to so many.
