With the electronic music genre having proliferated into a massive industry over the past couple years, more and more festivals seem to be popping up everywhere, making it more than ever an exhilarating time to be a fan. Accordingly, a brand new festival in Montreal, Quebec by the name of ÎleSoniq, has just dropped the names of several noteworthy performers who are to comprise the lineup for the first ever edition of the event, which will be taking place from August 15-16th of this year.
In addition to highly-prominent headliners Tiesto, and Laidback Luke, artists representing a plethora of genres will also be playing the event, such as Zeds Dead, Dillon Francis, Bingo Players, Adventure Club, and The Chainsmokers. Seasoned dance music fans will also be elated to see names such as DJ Pierre (one third of Phuture, who is widely considered as one of the ‘founding fathers’ of the Acid House subgenre), and esteemed UK DJ/producer, Riva Starr.
ÎleSoniq will be held this summer at Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau, and by the looks of it, will be a great addition to this festival season. This event will welcome all-ages with an 18+ VIP section, and tickets are still available for purchase through the festival’s website.
