Imad Royal, formally known as just “Royal,” before recently changing his name, has had an interesting last 10 months to say the least.
Garnering over a million plays collectively across Spotify, SoundCloud, and more, Imad Royal’s last two releases, Cycles EP and “Queen Of France,” have taken his solo career to another level. Both releases have showcased a series of simple, chill, melodic, yet passionately-driven music that easily appeals to fans of future bass, EDM, rap, and beyond.
Imad Royal’s core competency is his voice, his vocals are soulful, sensual, like many, but come with unique character – a voice you could pick out of a lineup – distinctive and genuine.
These elements are best shown via Imad Royal’s newest original “Troubles,” which leans more toward his hip-hop side mixed with a personable theme within the lyrics. It wouldn’t be an Imad Royal tune without it having an outstanding future/trap style beat, the solo producer hits the bulls eye in this area as well.
Now that Imad Royal has been living in the dance music playground known as LA, things can only go up from here.
